Featured Artist in January
I am excited to announce that I will be the featured artist at The Downtown Gallery in Titusville, Fl for the month of January. The Downtown Gallery is located at 335 South Washington Avenue in the old downtown area. Even though the address is South Washinton Avenue, the gallery is located on the northbound side of US 1. There is plenty of parking behind the gallery and you canaccess to the gallery from the back side.
I’ll pass along the details as soon as they are available. I hope you will all stop at The Downtown Gallery to see my exhibit during January.

One person’s Trash……..
….. is another person’s birding hotspot? I went with my friend Joel Reynolds to the Brevard County landfill in Cocoa. Joel has gone there several times for bird photography and had been telling me all about it. This week we were able to coordinate our schedules so Joel could take me out and show me the ropes. There really were quite a variety of species. There were thousands of gulls. around the property and mixed in with the gulls we saw bald eagles, wood storks, glossy and white ibis’, a harrier, a caracara, terns, great blue herons, black vultures, sparrows, and grebes. There were a mass of birds on top of the trash heap. I have included my best photo of the day. Joel will be leading field trips to the landfill as part of the Space Coast Birding Festival coming up in January. I urge you all to register and take this informative trip to the landfill. You won’t be disappointed.
Regards,
Jim
